The "Employment for All" Project Supports "Piece of Cake" with Modern Production Equipment to Enhance its Competitive Capacity.

As part of ongoing efforts to support the food processing sector and develop startups in Palestine, the team of the Centre of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (MA’AN Hub) conducted a field visit to "Piece of Cake" Company. The visit aimed to assess the impact of the operational and technical interventions provided to the company under the "Employment for All" (E4A) project, which is funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and implemented by MA’AN Hub.
The support featured an integrated package of modern industrial machinery and equipment for food processing, including: an advanced industrial dishwasher, high-efficiency freezers and refrigerators, stainless steel worktables complying with health standards, and an automated dough proofer.
These tools directly contribute to automating production processes within the facility and enhancing overall efficiency, resulting in an increase in the company's production capacity by at least 50%. Furthermore, these modern installations will enable the company to launch new production lines and ensure business sustainability, thereby creating at least 6 new job opportunities for young professionals in production, sales, and marketing.
This visit comes in the context of the Centre's continuous follow-up on the 10 pioneering startups benefiting from the project. It aligns with the core mission of empowering the private sector and fostering innovation as essential drivers to reduce unemployment rates and create sustainable employment opportunities.
